 I don't have any better ideas for a name for this directory.  A short name
 is preferable, but I can't come up with a more specific single-word name;
 something like mlpack/core/miscellaneous_math_utilities/ is too long.

 There are a couple more things that need to be added to that directory,
 like the phi() function from methods/mog/, and they don't really fall
 anywhere other than "miscellaneous math utilities" or something like that.
