Re: [UWAB] Reminder: Meet at flag building for Grad SGA meeting on 3/8
I'm all for supporting our group, but I want to make sure you all know that you are not required by SGA to come to this. If you have other stuff to do, like you would have to leave work to come or you are really busy or anything like that, please don't kill yourself trying to make your schedule work around this. SGA only asks that one person be there to represent the group. Bottom line - more people present does not translate into more votes for a bill, it just means that those who are actually talking have a bigger fan club(and who doesn't want that?). It's not that I don't love seeing all of you, I just don't want this to make anyone's life harder than it needs to be. For those of you who are able to make it, I'm sure it will be an absolute blast. I'm really sorry you guys but I've just found out that I have a doctor's appointment today at 10. I had totally forgotten about it until they called me!! I'd cancel, but they'd charge me since it's so late. And it's up in alpharetta, so I don't think I'll be able to make it back. Again so sorry! here are things for the meeting that I can think of.... I would really appreciate it if as many of you can come out and support those that will be speaking on behalf of the bill at the undergrad SGA meeting tonight at 7:30. Hey girls!!! Our bill passed in the undergrad SGA meeting (35 yays, 10 nays & 2 abstentions)!!!! Thank you sooo sooo much to everyone who showed up to either meeting. I believe that it really helped that there were a bunch of us there at each meeting- especially when many of us know representatives! This is great news girls! Just remember: we have the tent, a technique article, and a few small things paid for. However, the bill specifically states what we HAVE to use the money on...we do not just get $1925 to put in our "pot of $$$", so if we do not go and buy what we asked for in the bill, then we do not get that $$$.
