[UWAB] Welcome back! Come join us at W@CC's 1st Meeting!
Hello, girls! I wanted to welcome everyone back to Tech. I hope that everyone's first week went well. My name is Linda Huynh and I am the interim co-chair of the Women at the College of Computing. Our other co-chair, Susan Storey, is unwell and will not be on campus until further notice. We, along with Candis Pham, represent the W@CC, Women at the College of Computing. W@CC's slogan is "Welcoming, Supporting, and Celebrating Women in Computing at Georgia Tech." Our meetings include a chance for female students to talk and bond over professional events, academic pursuits, and other social activities. Our first weekly meeting of the semester will be this Thursday in CCB 354 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. Our group is an opportunity for all female students to meet other female computing students and become more involved in the College's student organizations. We have a lot of things planned this semester, including Tech Beautification Day and the Grace Hopper conference later this September. We would love it if you came by! This week's meeting will also be accompanied by Publix subs. Feel free to contact Candis Pham (cpham3@gatech.edu) or myself ( lhuynh@gatech.edu) with any questions or comments you might have. Thanks, and I hope to see you at the meeting! -- Linda Huynh B.S. Computer Science Georgia Institute of Technology
