Hey girls, Sorry I couldn't make the meeting today, I had to tour. Anyway, it looks like we are going to be way short on dealers (we have 4 confirmed and we have 16-20 game tables, and this is without knowing if those 4 are staying the whole 3 hours or not.) So, we need to start asking others ASAP! Ask you friends, grad students, TAs, your friendly Deans, bug you professors (nicely) and see if they have responded to Laura. Tell all people who want to deal to email Laura P. We all will not be able to help out very much as dealers since we have to man the food, sign-in, chips, mock tails, and raffle tables- so we need LOTS of volunteers to help then! ~Mandy -------------------------------------------------- Mandy Zielonka 5th Year Computer Science Major Georgia Institute of Technology
For the small handful of you who do not stalk me and memorize my gt number, my email is gtg377b@... -Laura P. PS. This is a good opportunity to ask any cute boys/boyfriends you may know of to help us out also(obviously they don't have to be CS majors). And here's my opinion... if they want shirts for helping, I think we should have them pay some minimal fee($4?) or whoever invites them to help pays it for them or something - the details aren't clear yet, that way we get back some of the money and we're giving them to more people so we get to order more shirts, so they cost less. Same thing with our shirts, I think we should each be willing to chip in $5 or $10 for our shirt. I used to be a management major, and this is what we would call a win-win situation. Just a thought. I agree with chipping in $5 or so for the shirts for ourselves. I would say that we shouldn't have the helpers pay more than $3 or so since they are doing us a favor. ~Mandy -------------------------------------------------- Mandy Zielonka 5th Year Computer Science Major Georgia Institute of Technology

FYI -- I'm putting in a request for a uwomen newsgroup. This is the process: http://faq.oit.gatech.edu/0029.html Anne, Vanessa, Kathy, Jennifer, Brittney, Elspeth, Maureen, Kristin, Laura, and Dave -- Please, reply to any email from OIT regarding the uwomen newsgroup. I turned in your email addresses to show student interest in the group. Please, email me if you have any questions. Thank you, Michelle
I can see us having to pay for our shirts, but I feel like if we're asking people to help us then they should receive a free shirt as a thank you for helping. I don't feel like it'd be right to ask them to do us a favor and then ask them to pay for a shirt. Just my opinion... -Brittany Quoting Sabina Karkin <gtg741a@mail.gatech.edu>:

I just don't think you should have to pay for your shirts!!!!!! The College will cover the cost for you and the dealers and helpers. As for boyfriends.....not unless you also want them for other guys who want them. At 8:32 AM -0500 3/16/05, Brittany Garrison wrote:
