Job Profile for UPS Capital Intern JOB DESCRIPTION The UPS Capital TPS Intern will provide direct support to the department by assisting with analyses, research, reporting, and preparation of presentation materials and will report directly to the Director Business Development. UPS Capital, the financial services business unit of UPS (NYSE: UPS), offers traditional and non-traditional financial services and insurance products to help businesses accelerate the movement of money through their supply chains by enhancing cash flow, reducing trade risks, and facilitating international trade. By combining financial services with UPS's other capabilities, UPS Capital is an important link in UPS's strategy of synchronizing global commerce. The ideal intern will be team focused and able to work well with others. The intern's responsibilities will include: * Run queries, analyze data, and produce reports * Prepare PowerPoint presentations * Research data, compile data, and conduct Market research * Developing the ad hoc and Monthly Business Plan and product reports * Participating in development and analysis of market research as required * Problem solving and learning UPS internal systems The intern will work in a cross-functional environment to gather and develop data and reports for product analysis. Attention to detail and data integrity are critical. The individual should be able to prioritize multiple tasks while looking for ways to improve current processes. PREFERRED SKILLS AND EDUCATION: * Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university. Junior or Senior in the top of their class pursuing an undergraduate Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Finance, Risk Management and Insurance preferred. * 1+ years experience in MS Access and Excel and the ability to run data analysis and perform ad hoc reporting to support short term product performance, long term product development and marketing strategies * Experience working in a team environment a plus * Work experience within a business office or customer service setting preferred Candidates must also be: * Efficient in written and verbal communications * Able to work Monday through Friday * Must be able to commit to 15 to 30 hours per week.
