Hey girls! As I promised last week, here's some info on some of the Women's Awareness Month events going on this week, including Take Back the Night and The Vagina Monologues. Give me a yell if you have any questions, more info is below. :) -- hp Women's Awareness Month -- Events This Week Take Back the Night - March 6 Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues - March 8-10 http://cyberbuzz.gatech.edu/wam Take Back the Night March 6, 7 p.m. Georgia Tech Campanile Take Back the Night will be held on Tuesday, March 6 and is an annual event to raise awareness about sexual violence against women. The night includes survivors' stories, speakers, and a candle lighting ceremony. Take Back the Night is partnered with Take Back the Day and Race Against Violence. Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues March 8-10, 7 p.m. nightly Music Listening Room, Student Center Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues is a series of individual vignettes that examines and challenges cultural, social, and sexual biases that are deeply intertwined with gender roles; it seeks to give a public voice to neglected and often taboo realities encompassing sexual intercourse, homosexual relationships, and most importantly, sexual violence and assault. Tickets are now on sale at http://cyberbuzz.gatech.edu/wam (credit and debit cards only). Tickets can also be purchased on March 7 - March 9 from 11am-1pm in the Student Center Commons.
