Hello Mrs. Ericson!
I am Allie Kench, a Senior at Cambridge HS in Milton, GA.
Last summer I created It's All Code, an after-school program for elementary girls to learn introductory computer science, and the program is currently happening
at Esther Jackson Elementary in Roswell, GA. Esther Jackson is a Title-1 school, and many of the girls I teach are underrepresented ethnic minorities. We are approaching the end of the program, and the girls are working on capstone projects to present on the
last day of class. We are currently searching for women to come to Esther Jackson on the last day of It's All Code, Thursday, October 26th, to watch
the girls' capstone project presentations and share a little about their careers. The girls have been working very diligently, and would appreciate your support.
Could you please forward this on to any female Georgia Tech Computer Science faculty or students that would be interested in supporting the girls? All they
would have to do is give the girls a brief summary of their experience to hopefully inspire them to continue pursuing computer science education.
For more information on the program and my contact info, please see our website:
Thanks!
