Earn $1,000 stipend, travel to Boston and other cities – all expenses
paid, gain valuable business experience with the leading education publisher –
Pearson (www.pearson.com <http://www.pearson.com/> ),
receive complimentary copies of Pearson textbooks, and develop a wide network
of contacts by participating in the Pearson Student Advisory
Board (PSAB) program. Our overall PSAB goal is to establish a
dialogue with ten savvy, motivated college students around the country from
June 2008 – June 2009. During their term of service, PSAB members will
experience first-hand the inner workings of a global publishing business, collaborate
and brainstorm with other talented students, and network with many of the top
executives within Pearson.
Not only are we looking for the best and brightest, but those students who are
passionate about learning, want to make a difference through their work, and
care about helping other students achieve their potential. We want to
encourage computer science majors to apply. Students must be either
sophomores or juniors at the time of the application and must submit the
following: cover letter, resume, two letters of recommendation from faculty or
employer, and transcript of courses and grades (official or unofficial).
The application deadline is February 15, 2008 and should be
submitted to teresa.chung@pearson.com. For
more detailed information, go to http://pearsonstudents.com/psab.shtml.
Electronic submission of the application is encouraged. Letters of
recommendation should be sent directly to teresa.chung@pearson.com and the subject line should read “PSAB
– student name.” If the transcript is not available in an electronic
format, send it to my assistant at the address below.
