[UWAB] Next Meeting, Career Fair, Microsoft Dinner

Hey girls, Thanks to everyone who came to our first meeting this Thursday. At our meeting next Thursday we will be discussing Interview Dos and Don’ts, including what to wear, say, and prepare. Feel free to bring practice interview questions. Just a reminder that the CoC Career Fair is this Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. You will need a resume, ID, and proper attire to enter. Finally, join Microsoft and their Georgia Tech alumni for a fun filled evening of dining, networking & more on Tuesday, September 25th at 6:30pm! Microsoft is sponsoring a dinner at Osteria del Figo (1210 Howell Mill Road) for Women@CC and Minorities @ the College of Computing. A carpool will be leaving from outside the CoC at 6:00pm. [UWAB] First meeting TOMORROW, Five Fifteen event this FRIDAY

Hi girls, Our first meeting will be * TOMORROW* (Thursday, September 6th) at * 8pm * in the College of Computing Building * Room 354 * (the conference room on the third floor). There will be * cookie-decorating * and an overview of our plans for the semester. If you have ideas for discussion topics or events, this is a great chance to share them. The painted ceramics from the Craft Center event will be at the meeting. Come pick yours up!!! Just a reminder that Women@CC is helping out with the CoC's Five Fifteen event. Five Fifteen consists of five 15-minute career-workshop sessions, and takes place this Friday starting at 5:15pm. After the five sessions finish, Women@CC will be leading a peer critique, where upperclassmen can give younger students feedback on their resumes. If you're an upperclassman, please come and help out. Otherwise, feel free to come and get help with your own resume. Hey guys! So Jaclyn, the Google recruiter, wanted me to let more people know about next week's Google events through some of the student organizations. I was wondering if you could let W@CC members know about this? Here is a blurb about it!! And I have attached a poster too! Please let people know about this great opportunity! Thanks so much!! Ramya Google will be at the CoC Career Fair all day on 9/11 and on 9/12, Google will be hosting a special panel featuring many GA Tech alumni now working in tech roles at Google!! Event: Careers at Google Panel Description: Attend this event if you're a CS (or related) major and interested in learning more about new grad and internship roles within software engineering at Google! We'll have half a dozen Google engineers (all GA Tech alumni) conducting lightning talks on their paths to Google, their roles, and cool projects they've worked on. All years of undergrads are welcome, along with masters & phd students. Of course there will also be food + swag and plenty of time for Q&A!
