[UWAB] Spooktacular- Great Job and Thanks!

Hey everyone! Great job last night! We had over 100 people sign in and not a bit of food left over. We even had a group of Rockband players that didn't want to leave! I would definitely give props to ESP for having a couple of the most creative stations and SAB for using big, real pumpkins and still managing to not make a mess. I wanted to give a special thanks to everyone who donated items such as Jeanie Choi who donated 50 apples from when her family went apple picking and others who lent us crop pots, Rockband, a grill, extension cords, and so much more. To everyone who came and helped staff the event, you're absolutely awesome! For pictures from the event, we will have pictures on the Women@CC website (http://women.cc.gatech.edu/) soon! What: Spooktacular When: TONIGHT! Thursday, October 30, 2008; 5:00p- 8:00p Where: CoC Courtyard (outside the CoC) Why: Hang out with your fellow students, staff, and faculty and have tons of FUN! Sponsored by the College of Computing student organizations (Women@CC, ESP, M@CC, SAB, UCouncil), there will be lots of FREE food, games, prizes, ..... There's candied apples, caramel apples, chocolate, video games, pumpkin carving, mummy wrapping, RockBand, dancing, homemade dip for chips, an eating contest, and so much more!! You could even win "The BIG Yahoo! Prize." Wear a costume to be entered to win one of the two costume contest: computational themed and general themed. [UWAB] Call for help: WAM's Vagina Monologues Audition

Hey everyone! It's Steph Yang here and I'm also a part of Women's Awareness Month (next March). We're trying to put on the Vagina Monologues again this year and we're really needing some help with it. So, if you're interested or know someone who might be interested in being a part of the cast or doing some work behind the scenes, I've attached an application to this e-mail. The girl in charge is Jane Wong, so if you want more information e-mail her at jane.wong(a)gatech.edu or myself at steph.yang(a)gatech.edu. If you have no idea what Vagina Monologues is, it's pretty much a play of a series of monologues read by women. They all relate to the vagina in some way or form be it through sex, rape, menstration, etc. It is a very controversial play due to the nature of the subject but I've also heard it's a very powerful one as well. It's also very humorous. Please bring it by 104b either today or tomorrow before the event. I will be in the office from 3-5p today and from 12-2 and 3-event tomorrow. For one of the Spooktacular raffle prizes, we had discussed for someone buying some swag from the game this Saturday and getting Buzz to sign them. Would anyone be able to get this?
